A photo diary combining my two Rome holidays, in 2015 and 2017. We woke up late every single day, had tasty cappuccinos at the nearby cafe which was always busy with locals, and walked to all of our destinations. We must have walked a total of 100 kilometres over 7 days, to places like Piazza di Spagna, the Orange Garden, along the Tiber river, the Jewish Quarter, and lots more:
Having the best gelato in Rome by my favourite ancient building, the Pantheon, and the Colosseum.
Walking through the ruins of the colossal Baths of Caracalla.
Taking in astonishing views over the Ancient Roman Forums and the Colosseum from the impressive yet relatively newly built Monument of Victor Emmanuel II, first king of Italy.
Beautiful Villa d’Este in Tivoli
Vatican City at night.
