I met Rhea at university nearly eight years ago, we were both studying some form of Biology undergraduate degree. Fast forward to 2016, years after graduation, I got a message in my inbox saying she would like me to photograph hers and Ben’s wedding. Needless to say I was over the moon and so, so flattered that Rhea had remembered my photography since our time at university years ago!
The wedding took place in a little village near Birmingham. The bride and bridesmaids got ready in the groom’s grandparents’ home, an incredibly gorgeous place with French windows to die for. I may have asked if the house was going to be put up for sale any time soon (I mean just have a look at that awesome stained glass!)
The boys got ready at the groom’s parents house, where an awesome bbq and marquee were being set up in the garden. The ceremony took place at Olton Friary Church.
Late in the evening, just after the sun had set, I took Rhea and Ben out of the busy marquee for a relaxing shoot full of giggles and bear hugs. These are really some of my favourite images.
“You know, I’ve always thought while at uni that if I were to get married, I would definitely ask you to take the photos. I never doubted how beautiful they would look like but I have also never thought that having ourselves be photographed would be as easy or relaxed as it was. It truly was a pleasure to have you both document and share our wedding weekend with us.”
Thanks for the kind words Rhea, you instantly put a massive grin on my face!
